3D Games Development
This is a small proof-of-concept game demo that I created during my second year at university. The work aims to demonstrate my ability to design and implement a 3D game using Direct3D.
While the module taught the underlying mechanics of the fixed-function pipeline, a personal goal of mine was to attain an understanding of hardware shading through the use of HLSL. The resulting product used programmable shaders to deliver per-pixel lighting and terrain blending.
The game itself was a “Dr. Who” themed first-person shooter where the player has to protect an objective from advancing enemies.
